‘Hanna’
exits towards Vietnam
Tropical Depression “Hanna” Sunday
swirled out of the country for Vietnam, but
would continue to induce the southwest monsoon
to bring light rains over the western section
of northern Luzon.
Hannah exited the Philippine area of responsibility
at around noon Sunday after triggering rains
over northern and central Luzon, and the western
section of southern Luzon and the Visayas.
Light to moderate rains triggered landslides
and spawned floods in areas caught in the path
of the depression.
The heaviest total rainfall
of 129.8 mm was felt in Subic, Zambales, during
a 24-hour period beginning Saturday morning,
according to weather forecaster Peter Kindipan
Jr. of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical
and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
