Dusit going into hotel management abroad

Sluggish hotel revenues are leading 60- year-old Dusit Hotels & Resorts to branch into hotel management services overseas. Dusit's local hotel business has declined and the company is unwilling to invest in building a new hotel abroad, so it has decided to offer standard management services instead.

''We asked ourselves for three years how we will grow. The answer is to grow offshore. We plan to introduce our brand to compete with big global hotel chains,'' said Chanin Donavanik, managing director and chief executive officer of Dusit Thani Plc.

Dusit Hotels & Resorts is rebranding to become Dusit International, which will encompass Dusit Hotels & Resorts, Dusit Devarana Hotels & Resort, Dusit D2 Hotels & Resorts, Dusit Princess Hotels & Resorts and Dusit Residence Serviced Apartments.
