Uruguay Minerals confirms

Uruguay Mineral Exploration Inc confirmed it has produced 26,317 ounces of gold for the second quarter to Nov 30, and also confirmed its production target of 95,000 ounces for the 2008 financial year.

The company said it expects permits for additional areas in the Zapucay district and at Presidente Terra to be granted this Dec.

It added that access to a contract drill rig for Lascano has been delayed for three months, is now expected to begin in March 2008 and will take about 6 months to complete.
