Six opposition political parties in Solomon Islands have merged to create the Coalition for National Unity and Rural Advancement reports RNZI.
And they have outlined their policy priorities if they manage to topple the Sogovare Government.
The Opposition and the Sogavare Government both claim to have a majority of the MPs in Parliament in a political crisis that has been fermenting for weeks.
Coalition spokesman, Edward Huniehu, says it will endeavour to bring a new style of open, responsible leadership and ensure that a strengthened police force is able to operate without government interference
