Key Keralite function begins in Oman

MUSCAT — An annual “Keralolsvam” (Kerala Festival), organised by the Malayalam Wing of Indian Social Club to mark the birth of Kerala state, began here yesterday.

A number of prominent Malayalam writers from the Gulf are participating in the two-day event. The festival will end with an evening session today during which the wing’s Literary Award for this year will be presented to C. Radhakrishnan, an eminent writer from Kerala who is also the guest of honour.

Radhakrishnan, author of about 40 novels and eight short stories is the recipient of several top awards.
