Wednesday's snowfall caused travel difficulties in many parts of the Valley.
Snow began to fall around 3 a.m. and continued to accumulate throughout the morning.
In Belmont County, which saw about 5 inches of snowfall by noon, officials said numerous crashes were reported by noon on county and residential roads.
Officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the sheriff's department said they took too many calls to count.
"We had our entire shift out and our day shift come out early. We got guys all over the place," said one trooper.
