Jamaica beats Guatemala
by The Canadian Press
Ricardo Fuller and Omar Daley both scored in the first 23 minutes as Jamaica beat Guatemala 2-0 in a friendly on Wednesday, its second victory in three days.
Playing without captain Ricardo Gardener, who scored twice in their 3-0 victory over El Salvador on Sunday, the "Reggae Boyz" continued their recovery from an 8-1 beating by Iran in July.
Fuller opened the scoring in 10th minute after beating three defenders and chipping the ball over an advancing goalkeeper to give Jamaica an early lead.
Daley's strike came in the 22nd minute. Rudolph Austin, who scored Sunday's opening goal against El Salvador, fed Daley a lateral pass, which the midfielder rushed into the box and converted wikth a low left-footed shot.
