Gambia Names Squad For Zone II

The names of players that will be representing The Gambia in the up coming Amilcar Zone II slated for November 30th to the 10 of December in Guinea Bissau, has been released yesterday.

However 22 players have been selected ahead of the bi-annual sub-regional encounter.

The Gambia has been drawn in group B alongside defending champions Guinea Conakry, Mali and Cape Verde.

Group A includes host Guinea Bissau, Mauritania, Senegal and Sierra Leone.

The Gambia is yet to claim the championship despite many years of participation.

It would be recalled that as part of preparation for the Zone II Amilcar Cabral tournament, Scorpions head coach Jose Martinez with his assistant Lamin Sarr, brought together 30 players who have been training together since last month.
