The Sheraton Fiji Resort will embarking on a $34.47million investment next year.
Resort managing director Shane Cunning said extensive refurbishment would start in April 2008.
"The refurbishment will cover all areas of the resort from the lobby, to the pool, recreational facilities and guest rooms and suites, creating a new look for one of Fijis favourite resorts," Mr Cunning said.
He said to complete the project, the resort would close from April 1, 2008, and reopen on October 1, 2008.
"Its a very timely refurbishment that will position Sheraton Fiji Resort as a leader in the family, conference and incentive markets," Mr Cunning said.
"The new look rooms will be warm and welcoming, providing guests with many of the creature comforts of home while the expanded recreational facilities will ensure that the Sheraton Fiji Resort remains a wonderland for families and vacationers looking for a fun, action filled holiday."
He said the enhancement of its extensive meeting and conference facilities, along with the variety of exciting and unique outdoor function spaces would place the resort as the most versatile and innovative conference and incentive venue in the South Pacific.
