doesn't keep Ellis from travels
Macon Mayor Jack Ellis' globe-trotting is not
easily ignored: His out-of-town trips had him
away from the city for more than 10 of the first
36 weeks of the year, according to his schedule.
One week may find Ellis in Macon. The next he
may be in Washington, D.C. Soon, he's half a
world away in one of several West African nations
he routinely visits.
His frequent travels have drawn disapproval
from some quarters, but that criticism hasn't
kept him in town.
