WTO throws Angola a lifeline

The representative of the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) for Africa, Senegalese Ousmane Ndiaye, affirmed Wednesday in Luanda, that the international body intends to cooperate with Angola to help developing its hotel-related sector.Speaking to Angop, after arriving in Luanda for a two-day working mission, Mr Ndiaye said that in order to achieve this desideratum he will discuss the issue with the Angolan minister of Hotel and Tourism, Eduardo Janotão Chingunji.
According to the UN envoy, during the talks, the two sides will outline strategies on how the World Tourism Organisation may help in the training of staff, above all those working in hotels and travel agencies.
He added that should there be an agreement the move will help delivering better services to visitors who will come to the country during the African Cup of Nations in 2010, to be hosted in Angola. |
