Both teams enter the contest with matching 2-5 marks and will meet for the first time since 2000. Vermont fell to the two-time defending national champion Florida Gators in its last time out on November 30 and will play its third straight road game and seventh of eight to open the season.

The game can be heard live on WEAV-AM 960, WXZO-FM 96.7 and 1320 (Randolph), WCVR-FM 102.1 (Randolph), WCPV-FM 102.1, WVTK-FM 92.1, WTSA-AM 1450 (Brattleboro) and on the internet at www.uvmathletics.com with the audio stream provided by sportsjuice.com.

Junior Mike Trimboli paced the Catamounts with a game-high 23 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor. Four Gators reached double figures, while they shot 59.6 percent for the contest and held a 41-23 edge on the boards as they improved to 7-1 on the season. Sophomore Marqus Blakely added 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Catamounts.

YALEThe Bulldogs are 2-5 on the season and are coming off a 70-66 overtime victory over Fairfield on Tuesday night. Yale’s other victory this season came in its season-opener at home over Sacred Heart 82-71. The Bulldogs are 1-1 at home this year and have played some tough opponents on the road including UCLA, Stanford and Massachusetts. Matt Kyle leads three players in double figures at 11.7 points per game, while Caleb Holmes (11.3 ppg) and Eric Flato (10.7 ppg) each help carry the offensive load. Yale opponents are shooting 48.0 percent from the floor this season as the Bulldogs are also outrebounded by 5.4 per contest. The all-time series between the two teams is tied at 9-9, with Vermont winning the last meeting 93-90 in overtime at home in 2000.
