Religious Tourism Confab in Spain
The World Tourism Organization has announced the International Conference on Tourism, Religions and Dialogue of Cultures to be held in Spain.

The Conference aims at analyzing the relationships between tourism and religion, as an effort to improve co-operations and interactions by using potentials of tourism to encourage and facilitate dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions.

As a more practical aim, the event will also present governments, religious authorities and tourism operators with suggestions for a more sustainable development and management of tourism, motivated by religious purposes or associated with religious heritage sites, as well as means to improve the benefits of such tourism.

The International Conference on Tourism, Religions and Dialogue of Cultures has been planned by the World Tourism Organization, (WTO) and supported by the Spanish Government.
