The move would clear legal obstacles to his continued rule and meet a key demand laid out by the United States.
ATLANTA (AP) Georgia's top court is throwing out a ban on registered sex offenders. A state law had barred offenders from living within 1,000 feet of places where children gather. Some critics of the law said it undermined efforts to keep track of sex offenders.
LANSING, Mich. (AP) Michigan still has a chance to host one of the nation's earliest presidential contests. The state's supreme court has decided to let the state's January 15th presidential primary go forward. New Hampshire officials have been waiting on the Michigan courts to set its own primary date.
