60
Japanese travel agents to take part in
NMI tour
The Marianas Visitors Authority will host
approximately 60 key travel agents and media
for the upcoming Marianas Tourism Academy.
The agents will be from Sapporo, Niigata, Sendai,
Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima and
Fukuoka Japan. The agents and media will be
in the CNMI on Oct. 22 - 25.
This program provides travel industry affiliates
with an educational environment and the opportunity
to familiarize themselves with the attractions,
activities and facilities on the islands. The
Marianas Tourism Academy is a positive marketing
tool to increase visitor arrivals through proactive
awareness programs.
“We look forward to having these key
travel agents and media from Japan in the CNMI,” said
MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. “Japan
continues to be our No. 1 source market in
visitor arrivals and we look forward to having
these agents get a firsthand experience of
our islands. We look forward to them sharing
the beauty of our island paradise with their
clients.” (MVA)
