Croatia Travel: Hum recommended to visitors
by Croatian Villas
Visitors to Croatia could consider visiting Hum, the smallest town in the world, it is claimed.
Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports it is one of the more famous of northern Istria's destinations as it has earned itself a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
German tourists are served by regular flights to Pula from a number of locations, while there are a number of flights from other countries to the airport on the peninsula, which is 100 miles south of Hum.
The news agency states a local, Ordina Medlag, has never regretted moving to the remote hilltop town.
She joked: "You know when more than 500 people a day squeeze through the streets it can be a bit much."
Meanwhile, it was revealed recently new luxury villas are being built in the Istrian region to cater for tourists to the area.
The Independent described the region as "glorious", and said it features unspoilt coastlines and mountains, while Travel weekly praised its "pretty landscape" and noted Venice is easily explored by day trips.
